Guccivuitton Turns Consumerism into Art

July 9, 2015

GuccivuittonThe Institute of Contemporary Art, in the Design District, opened its doors for a new and creative exhibition called “Guccivuitton” that is planning to change the art industry in South Florida. Guccivuitton will be moving the art to new spaces like bus shelters, allowing the people in every corner to appreciate it.

The Art scene in South Florida has gained international attention over the last couple of years and this new project will keep attracting collectors across the globe. Loriel Beltran, Domingo Castillo, and Aramis Gutierrez are the three founders of the Guccivuitton exhibition, The founders have a revolutionary vision to change the neighborhoods with local productions and art in the city.

Domingo Castillo, one of the three founders explained, “we were more excited to find out we are going to be on the bus shelters than about the exhibits. No one has been recording the history of the arts in Miami, that is part of our mission.”

They will move to a gallery in Little Haiti with a new production dedicated to local produces. Also they will create “IRL (In Real Life)”, a critical look at the intersection of art, branding, and internet culture by art collective ART404 and that is just the beginning.
