The typical buyers are mainly wealthy South Americans and well heeled New York baby boomers moving south on retirement.
“Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale are boring,” said Johnston. “Miami is international, has a vibrant cultural scene and is seen as much less cookie cutter,” said Johnston.
No one would know these trends better than Julian Johnston, whose twelve year career has involved a slew of high-profile transactions in recent years.
