One of the advantages of owning local properties like Miami Beach Luxury Condos is the access to some of the best athletic events in the country. With our tropical climate, South Florida attracts some of the best half-marathons in U.S., with some traveling thousands of miles to experience them. Many of the routes the half-marathons take are stunning with routes that pass through beaches, scenic roads or beautiful architecture like Miami Waterfront Homes. Here are some of the half-marathons you can look forward to this season:
For those looking for a unique take on the traditional half marathon, try the Miami Beach Halloween Half Marathon and Freaky 4-Miler. On October 25th, you can dress up in a Halloween costume and take on the athletic event in festive fashion!
At the A1A Marathon, Half Marathon and Kids’ 1.2-mile Run, you can run along the Florida State Road A1A in Ft. Lauderdale, which is normally congested with cars. Here you will be able to run along the scenic highway that runs along the beach. Best of all, there’s even an event for the kids!
For those looking for events for every endurance level, try the Run for Tomorrow Half-Marathon, on Dec. 14 in Weston. Athletes will love the half-marathon, beginning runners will can do the 5K and the Family Walk offers an option that the whole family can enjoy.
One of the most scenic marathons is the Michelob Ultra 13.1 Marathon on March 1, which runs through some of the most stunning areas of Miami Beach including through Ocean Drive, over the causeway and through downtown Miami.
Fitness experts will love the Lifetime Miami Marathon; it includes an intense full marathon for the most skilled of athletes while also holding a half-marathon with runners who will be sure you will keep up the pace.
These are just some of the half-marathons you can enjoy while living in the city.
