Wintertime Events in South Florida

December 10, 2015

If you missed out on this year’s creativity, there are plenty of additional events happening this winter if you’re looking to experience some art, culture, music, sports or just have a good time.

One of the biggest and largest events in South Florida is the annual Winterfest Boat Parade, sponsored by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.  For one day, a parade of boating vessels of varying shapes and sizes navigate a 12-mile stretch of the New River in Broward County.  Expect a large crowd of over a million people admiring all of the boats and enjoying a tasty cocktail starting at 7 pm.  One of the best spots to view the parade is in the Grandstand Viewing Area.

College football fans can attend the second edition of the Miami Beach Bowl on Monday, December 21st at Marlins Park.  The televised event will include a team from the American Athletic Conference against a Conference USA team.  Ten days later, the Capital One Orange Bowl will be held at Sun Life Stadium on New Year’s Eve.  The game featuring the Oklahoma Sooners against the Clemson Tigers starts at 4 pm.

This update is brought to you by Julian Johnston of Calibre International Realty.  Julian specializes in Miami waterfront homes as well as Miami Beach luxury condos like Apogee South Beach, the two Continuum buildings, the Portofino Tower, and more.  Call 305.502.3985 for any questions about Miami real estate or Miami Beach real estate.
